My name is Jason Berkun and I am a rising 3L at the George Washington University Law School. I previously interned at the Blockchain Association and SEC Enforcement Division. I first launched into the blockchain industry in 2019 with my first $75 purchase of Ether after reading the book Blockchain Bubble Or Revolution: The Future of Bitcoin, Blockchains, and Cryptocurrencies. I am deeply interested in the promise that blockchain technology offers a superior form of ownership, payment, and security than traditional forms of organizational activity. Yet, the changes brought by blockchain technology do not fit into the traditional US framework for regulated intermediaries. Challenging legal questions arise that do not comport well with the existing system and I hope to illuminate problems, as well as solutions from my blog. Hope you will enjoy!
